Our Passion for the Tabletop
Discover the driving force behind Happiness & Hexagons and our unwavering dedication to analog joy.
Born from a Love of Mechanics and Wood
Happiness & Hexagons was not founded in a corporate boardroom. It was conceived during a marathon nine-hour session of a particularly grueling economic euro game, surrounded by empty coffee cups and scattered wooden meeples. We realized that in our increasingly digital, hyper-connected yet socially isolated world, the physical board game table represents a vital sanctuary. It is a place where screens are banished, where eye contact is required, and where strategic minds can clash and collaborate in real-time. We wanted to build a boutique that respected this analog ritual by offering only the absolute highest caliber of tabletop experiences.
Our curation philosophy is extraordinarily strict. We do not stock thousands of titles simply to fill virtual shelves. Every single game in our catalog has been meticulously playtested by our internal team. We demand elegant, watertight rulebooks that eliminate ambiguity. We demand high-quality, tactile components—thick punchboards, resilient linen-finish cards, and weighty metal or wood tokens. A premium board game is an investment in human connection, and we ensure that every box you purchase from us is worthy of becoming a centerpiece in your home collection, ready to be pulled down from the shelf for decades to come.
We are also deeply committed to sustainability within the tabletop hobby. The manufacturing of complex board games requires significant resources, which is why we actively champion publishers who utilize FSC-certified sustainable forestry paper, soy-based eco-friendly inks, and who are actively working to eliminate single-use plastics from their box inserts. By focusing on heirloom-quality games that are built to last rather than disposable entertainment, we hope to foster a hobby that is both endlessly engaging and environmentally responsible. Thank you for joining us at the table. Your next great campaign awaits.
